Hi friends! This week I thought I would feature one of my paintings and give you a little back story. For those who follow me on social media, you know that most of the paintings I do have a story.
Meet Lucilu. Lucilu is a dog that belonged to Tony and Kristy, very good friends of mine. Lucilu held a very special place in Kristy’s heart. They were two peas in a pod. Sadly, Lucilu passed away last year. For those of us who have lost our furkids, you know how hard it is to say goodbye. It was no different for Kristy. She took it very hard.
Tony contacted me and asked if I would paint a picture of Lucilu as a surprise for Kristy’s birthday and of course I obliged. In my heart I knew it was a privilege to be asked to do this painting.
Over the past couple of years, I have done quite a few dog paintings. To me they are the most special. I know how hard it is to lose a cherished member of the family. So naturally, the feeling I get when I see the owner opening the painting is something I cherish forever.
It makes me so happy that I can bring such joy to people through my paintings. Never in my life did I think I would be a painter! It's funny what life throws at you and how it allows you to make a small difference in someone's life with something as simple as a painting. To see more of my paintings head on over to my website!
Until next time. Big hugs,
